The Project

The Great Escape connects Larry June with The Alchemist in a full collaborative project. The pairing makes sense in the broader story of June’s discography: his relaxed, self-directed approach has moved through a number of distinct production partnerships without losing its identity. Here The Alchemist is part of the headline rather than an unnamed addition to the credits.

Within KOLAK’s release chronology, the album follows June’s 2022 solo Spaceships on the Blade and opens another significant chapter alongside his ongoing work with Cardo Got Wings.
