KOLAK SOUND ARCHIVE / 2020 / RELEASE NOTES
Numbers
Larry June
Original release: December 23, 2020
Format: Solo album
The Project
Numbers closes the 2020 portion of Larry June’s KOLAK chronology with a fitting title. The idea of keeping track—of work, money, choices and results—recurs throughout his public musical persona. After a run of individual and collaborative releases, this solo project brings the timeline back under June’s own name.
Seen together, Adjust to the Game, Cruise USA, Keep Going and Cooks & Orange Juice represent different configurations of a busy year. Numbers provides an endpoint before the 2021 archive opens with Orange Print and new work alongside Cardo.
Listening Notes
Place this at the end of the 2020 listening sequence and follow it with Orange Print for the next solo checkpoint.
Production & Contributors
Track-level production credits are attributed only when supported by music storefront metadata or album liner notes; no contributor is assumed to have worked on an entire project without appropriate credits.
