Tinashe is entering her next album cycle with Popstar, a 16-track project arriving September 25 and positioned as the closing chapter of the trilogy that began with BB/ANG3L and continued through Quantum Baby.

The album is feature-free, keeping the focus on Tinashe’s own voice across pop, R&B, dance, hip-hop and electronic production. Zack Sekoff plays a major production role across the rollout, including records such as “Too Easy,” “Melatonin” and “Pillow Fight.”

The tracklist moves through titles including “Sunglasses,” “Empty Stadium,” “Crash Out,” “Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore,” “Brainrot,” “Cloud 9” and the title track “Popstar.” The project is also notable as her first major-label album release since 2018.

The rollout will extend into a three-date Three Nights With a Popstar run in Chicago, Brooklyn and Los Angeles later this fall.

For KOLAK Archive, Popstar fits the space where music, image-making and digital culture overlap. Tinashe’s independent-era instincts remain central even as the scale increases, making the album less about returning to a conventional pop system and more about expanding the one she already built.
