WAFFLESNCREAM is stretching the idea of the streetwear drop into a year-long design experiment.

The Lagos-born skate and streetwear platform has introduced 3D-12, a monthly project built around three limited-edition pieces released across 12 consecutive months. Instead of restricting the format to apparel, the series moves between clothing and objects while using familiar cultural references as raw material for new design.

The opening September release introduces the Ankara Shirt, Cow Trunk Comb and Bata Jesu. Together, the pieces point toward the broader idea behind 3D-12: everyday forms can carry as much design language as a traditional fashion collection.

WAFFLESNCREAM has operated at the intersection of skateboarding, film, art, fashion and community since emerging in Lagos in 2012. The new series extends that multidisciplinary approach while keeping skate culture at the center. Community activations are also planned around the monthly releases, creating an experience beyond simply putting new products online.

There is a useful design lesson in the structure itself. Three pieces per month creates a constraint, while 12 months gives the brand room to build a larger visual world over time. The format turns the release calendar into part of the creative system.
