Around July 2024, KOLAK began designing an interactive space for Mars Music & Recording Studio. The idea was to give a music studio a digital setting visitors could explore: a place where the identity of the studio could be seen through rooms, records, equipment and the atmosphere surrounding the work.

The early concept treated the building as a connected environment. An overhead layout mapped a reception area, studio work spaces and places to sit and listen. Street and parking details around the exterior gave the imagined studio a sense of location, while the rooms inside each had their own purpose.

Entering Mars Studio

At the entrance, a long, dark reception desk sits beneath the gold MARS Music & Recording Studio mark. Circular lines around the logo give the wall a visual pulse, and framed record displays establish the music connection immediately. Wood toned flooring draws the eye from the reception area into the rest of the space.

Rooms Built Around Music

Beyond reception, the concept moves between rooms for making music and rooms for experiencing it. The supplied views show a keyboard and work desk, seating areas, equipment, a clothing rail and framed record artwork. Together, they make the space feel like a studio with a life beyond the recording booth: somewhere to work, wait, listen and connect.

The framed releases in these renderings serve as visual references to the studio’s music world. The album artwork belongs to its respective artists and rights holders; its appearance in a concept image does not suggest an endorsement of KOLAK.

A Space to Explore

For KOLAK, the project began with a simple question: how could the feel of a recording studio continue online? The answer was an interactive environment shaped by the same details that make a room memorable: its entrance, its records, its furniture and the paths between spaces. This August 2024 archive documents that early direction, with the project having started around July.
