Some runway memories arrive years later and bring the beginning back into focus. On March 31, 2025, after an LAFW25 event, one of KOLAK’s early runway models sent over a short throwback video from the brand’s August 14, 2022 fashion show at Zanzi Oakland. Nina Heart was one of the models KOLAK focused on while finding its footing on the runway Kickstarter.

The clip is a personal recap from the model, whose video displays Nina Heart. Its vertical footage follows the runway moment and carries her own on-screen reflections. For KOLAK, seeing it again after LAFW25 connected a later fashion event to an important early step: bringing the brand onto a Bay Area stage and building relationships with the people who helped present it.
