16-BIT CULTURE MEETS HIP-HOP.
Music, streetwear, and gaming meet at New York Comic Con through an announced project pairing Eminem and NERDS Clothing. Reported by Variety on October 2, the collaboration centers on a 16-bit-inspired illustration of Eminem and extends into limited apparel, collectibles, and gaming.
NERDS is bringing the collection to its NYCC booth during the convention's October 8–11 run. The reported rollout also includes hand-embellished arcade cabinets developed with New York artist Danny Cortes and an original game, Marshall's Massacre, created for the project by Fan Arcade.
MORE THAN A MERCH TABLE
The project treats an artist's visual identity as something fans can wear, collect, and interact with—an intersection of music and gaming that belongs in the same conversation as today's experimental streetwear. For The KOLAK Desk, the most interesting detail is how a pixel-era aesthetic travels between physical objects and digital play.
Explore the reported game at Marshall's Massacre and the brand at NERDS Clothing.
