Thirty years after Pokémon first entered gaming culture, adidas is translating the franchise into one of its broadest character-driven footwear projects yet. The anniversary collection includes 16 styles across nine characters and a range of adidas silhouettes.

A Character-Select Footwear System

Rather than repeating one graphic treatment across identical shoes, the collection spreads Pokémon references across heritage court shoes, terrace models and technical runners including the Superstar, Samba, Handball Spezial, ZX 8000 and Adistar family.

For KOLAK Archive, the connection is clear: gaming, character design, sneakers and streetwear are no longer separate creative categories. A fictional universe can move through product design while an established footwear archive becomes the canvas.
